**A poster should be readable from about two metres and tell the story in one minute.** Use this checklist before you print. Check your college poster size and format first.

## Layout blocks, left to right

- **Title and names** across the top, in the largest text.
- **Problem and objective** in a short box.
- **System diagram** in the middle: sensors, controller, drivers and power.
- **Photo of your own build** with labelled parts.
- **Results** as one or two charts or tables with units.
- **Conclusion** in three bullet points.
- **References and contact** at the bottom in small text.

## Checks before printing

- Body text is large enough to read at a distance; keep it well above what you would use in a report.
- Every figure has a caption and every chart has axis labels with units.
- Colours have strong contrast. Avoid light text on a light background.
- Use your own photos and diagrams. Credit any image or data you did not make.
- Spell-check names and units, and print a small test copy first.
- Keep a copy as PDF with fonts embedded.
